  • Professionalism-business growth

Salvos Stores required a solution for its 230 + stores that was easy to use for its varied volunteer staff.

They also wanted to speed up the reporting process for the management team and to accurately track all aspects of the business. Data from all 230 Salvos Stores needed to be efficiently download to the Support Office.

The staff in the Salvos Stores are a mixture of employees and volunteers with little or no computer experience and limited exposure to computer based point of sale systems.

The point of sale software needed to be configurable so it could replicate their existing ROM based units and thus reduce the perception of change by the retail staff.

Not only has POSwise proven to be a great success with its retail staff, it has also provided seamless integration into the existing head office systems that control remote warehouses giving the Salvos Stores management team total control over the business.

The POSwise team consulted with the Salvos Stores to find the right hardware solution to roll out across the stores.

Salvos Stores issue large amounts of welfare vouchers through their stores. These vouchers need to be tracked and the information reported back to the Support Office.

The first site was installed in May 2009 and the roll out of the Salvos Stores in Victoria, Tasmania, Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territories was completed by February 2010.

We continue to work with the Salvos Stores to add new features to the software.
